Firewood Storage

Our Handmade firewood storage is a practical piece of garden furniture for those who value good design and have an eye for aesthetics.

Like all our products, the firewood storage is made to order, which means we can finish it in any color and size to one of our three storage dimensions.

Our firewood storage units are constructed with a quality treated base, cladded in solid pine tongue and groove and then roofed with a Red Cedar shake shingle, and trimmed in western Red Cedar.

For efficient drying and seasoning of the stored wood, the floor is slatted and raised above the ground which encourages airflow.

Exterior

Our firewood storage is built on a 4 x4 treated Base, framed in vertical 2x4 studs and cladded in 3/4" solid pine tongue and groove, and trimmed in American western Red Cedar

*The entire storage unit can be built in solid Red Cedar if so desired, with additional cost, Price on request.

Roof

For the roof, the Red Cedar roof can be oiled to retain the natural cedar tone, or left unsealed which will result in a graying hue over time. The roof is crowned with a copper roof cap, which will inherently and naturally turn green over time.

Finish

We take great care to finish all our products to the highest standards. All assembly screw holes are filled and sanded prior to staining/painting with a stain blocking primer. This is followed by two coats of hand applied Cabot solid tone stain – a finish that will not crack nor blister and will maintain its performance for a multitude of years with the added benefit of sealing the wood.

Color options

For a long lasting solid color finish each product is painted in Cabot solid tone stain wood protection, exterior paint can be substituted at no extra cost.

Notice to the customer; The stains used, allows for the grain of the wood to lightly seen through the stain.
